Overheard a guy at the coffee shop say he finally paid off a credit card he'd had since college.
It made me realize my own 'win' was finally getting my grocery spending under $75 a week after tracking it for a month, which felt impossible a year ago.

My old boss always said paying off debt was the only win, but honestly your grocery discipline changed my mind.

Is getting your grocery bill down really a smaller win than paying off a credit card? To me, that's the harder habit to build long term. Paying off debt is a finish line, but controlling spending is a skill you use every single week. Honestly, keeping it under $75 feels like the bigger, quieter victory because you have to keep doing it.
