That's the worst kind of Tuesday surprise. Good on you for having that emergency fund ready to go, though. It still stings to see that money leave for something so basic.

Ugh, tell me about it. It feels like every time you get a little ahead, something dumb like a flat tire or a busted water heater shows up to reset your progress. You save up for a fun trip or finally upgrade your phone, but then life just sends a basic bill to wipe it out. It's like a weird tax on having your stuff together.
