TIL people overpay for airport transfers in Lisbon
I keep seeing folks book those private car services from the airport. Costs like 40 euros. The Aerobus is 4 euros. Takes you right to the city center in 20 minutes. I saved 36 euros last week doing this. The stop is clearly marked outside arrivals. Has anyone else found a cheaper way to get into that city?

Right outside the arrivals hall, you can catch the regular city bus for even less. The Aerobus is good, but the 744 bus costs under two euros. It drops you at the same central squares, just takes a few more minutes. Why pay for a private car when public transport is that easy? Some people just don't look past the first option they see.

Totally agree with @robert248. Did the same thing in Lisbon last year, saved a ton just by walking a bit further to the local bus stop.
