My cousin told me to always book hostels on a Tuesday for the best rates

We were talking about my trip to Prague next month and she said she never pays full price for a bed. She explained that hostels often drop their prices mid-week to fill empty spots, and she saved about 20 euros a night in Berlin by booking on a Tuesday. I always just booked whenever I felt like it. Has anyone else found a specific day that works better for booking cheap stays?

I saw a travel blog that said the same thing about Tuesday being a cheap day to book. It makes sense because weekends are busy and Monday is for last minute plans. Might be worth trying out for your trip.

Honestly that "last minute Monday" thing tracks. I tried booking a hotel on a Monday once and the price was way higher than when I checked the Friday before. Feels like they know people are desperate after the weekend.
