Hostel prices in Bangkok doubled in one year and nobody is talking about it
I paid 180 baht a night at the same place in 2022 and last month it was 380 baht, what gives with the sudden jump, anyone else seeing this trend in Southeast Asia?

2022 was literally right after COVID, not a fair comparison point at all.

Totally agree with you, that's not a fair comparison. I was paying 150 baht for a decent dorm in Chiang Mai back in 2021 and now the same spots are pushing 350-400. Feels like everywhere in Thailand jacked prices up after COVID and nobody wants to admit it.
