Dont book those $19 flights to Vegas until you read this, I got burned last Tuesday

The base fare was $19 but by checkout they added $47 in luggage fees plus a $23 'processing charge' that showed up as a tiny line item, and my carryon was suddenly 'oversized' at the gate in Phoenix. Has anyone else gotten hit with these hidden fees on budget airlines, or did I just pick the worst one?

Oh wow, that's the Vegas miracle package. Pay $19 to fly, then $70 to bring a toothbrush. At this rate they're gonna charge you for the air you breathe on the plane.

Honestly, the real scam here is that they make you pay for the toothbrush but not the toothpaste. That’s just cruel. But nobody’s talking about the actual math. If you book that $19 flight, you’re basically gambling that nothing goes wrong. One missed connection or a bag delay and you’re paying more than a normal ticket would’ve cost. And let’s be real, you know they’re gonna hit you with a “convenience fee” just for checking in on the app. That’s the real Vegas miracle, they get you to think you’re winning when you’re actually just feeding the machine.
