PSA: my $40 garage sale projector died 3 weeks ago, now I can't decide if I should fix it or just start over
Last month I finally got my basement setup done with a used Epson I grabbed off Facebook for $40 and a white bedsheet stapled to the joists, and honestly it looked way better than it had any right to. Then 3 weeks ago the lamp popped and a replacement bulb costs more than I paid for the whole thing, so now I'm stuck between dumping $60 into a projector that might die again or saving up for a real screen and a $200 refurb unit. Do you guys throw money at old gear until it's dead or cut your losses the second it gets annoying?
