Found an old LED strip kit at a yard sale and finally ditched the lamp
For two years I watched movies in my living room with a regular floor lamp glaring off the screen. Last Saturday I picked up a four pack of cheap LED strips for $8 at a yard sale, guy said they were from his son's dorm room. Spent an afternoon running them behind the TV and along the baseboard with command hooks. Dimmed them to 20 percent and now the whole setup feels like a real theater. The light bleed is practically zero and I don't get that washed out picture anymore. Has anyone else repurposed random lighting gear just to avoid buying a bias light kit?
