Update: my $23 grocery run in Tulsa last Tuesday fed me 9 meals and I'm still shocked
I usually blow $60 a week on takeout, but last Tuesday I hit the Aldi on 15th in Tulsa with $23 cash and walked out with dried beans, rice, eggs, frozen spinach, and a bag of onions. I made a big pot of bean soup Sunday, then fried rice Tuesday, then egg and spinach bowls the rest of the days, and it somehow stretched to 9 meals without me getting bored. What's your go-to cheap ingredient that actually keeps you full without feeling like you're eating the same thing over and over?
