I finally stopped buying lunch at the deli near the job site after the owner made a crack about my thermos
Stopped in at Sal's on 5th for a $9 turkey sub last Tuesday and he nodded at my soup thermos and said "trying to save a few bucks, huh?" with this little smirk, like packing leftovers was something to be embarrassed about. I've been bringing rice and beans from Sunday's pot ever since, and my food bill for the crew week dropped from about $45 to $11. Anybody got a lunch that holds up in a cooler all morning, because I'm running out of ideas past beans?
