The foreman's 30 second level check in Lubbock made me redo my whole wall
Last Tuesday I finished a 40 foot garden wall in Lubbock, straight as my eye could see, then the foreman walks by with a 6 foot level and points at a bump near the bottom row. He said 'your string line lied to you' and sure enough, 3 courses were off by almost half a brick. Has anyone else ditched the string line for a laser level on long runs, or do you still trust the old method?

Laser every time now, my string line sagged over a 30 foot run once and I tore out a whole patio base because of it. That bump in Lubbock sounds exactly like the kind of thing that sneaks up on you with the old method lol.
