New to a seasoned bricklaying team and struggling to connect

I recently started with a crew that has been together for a long time. They have their own habits and I feel out of place. How did you manage to blend in?

Just try not to be the wobbly brick in the wall.

Yeah, talking with the team every day saved me. It kept me honest and made me speak up fast if things went wrong. Now I'm ROCK solid and not that wobbly brick anymore.
