Heard a guy say frog pointing is faster, I'm not so sure

I was on a site in Austin last week and this older bricklayer was telling me he points his frogs outward because it saves him time on mortar placement (he swears it cuts 15 minutes per wall). But I've always pointed them inward to keep a better bed for the next course, especially on load-bearing work. Which way do you guys lean on this debate, and have you ever actually timed the difference?

Yeah man, I've totally been there, it's such a simple little thing but it can really mess with your rhythm. I'm with you on pointing them inward, it just feels more solid to me and I hate worrying about a crooked bed on the next course (that's a headache I don't need).

Didn't I read somewhere that pros still argue about this one?
