Saw a huge Venus flytrap at a greenhouse in Asheville last weekend
Honestly, I stopped by this little botanical garden off the Blue Ridge Parkway and they had a section of carnivorous plants. One Venus flytrap had traps the size of a quarter, which I've never seen before outside of pictures. The guy working there said they feed them bloodworms once a month to keep them that big. Has anyone else seen monster flytraps like that or is this place just special?

Oh man, my venus flytrap is barely catching fruit flies so I'm clearly doing something wrong.

Yeah but I gotta push back on the bloodworm thing a little. Feeding them that often can actually stress the plant out, especially if it's not in a super controlled environment like that greenhouse. @oliviapatel, fruit flies are totally normal for a flytrap, you're probably doing fine, they just need lots of direct sun and distilled water to catch anything bigger. The size mostly comes down to genetics and how much light they get, not what you feed them.
