My friend keeps calling her pothos a philodendron and it drives me nuts
They're totally different plants, and she's had it for over a year now. How do you politely correct someone on basic plant ID?

Oliver's idea is fine, but honestly, why bother? It's just a houseplant. If she's kept it alive for a year, she's doing better than most. Correcting her seems like a quick way to make someone feel dumb over something that doesn't really matter. Let her call it whatever she wants.
