I finally figured out why my monstera was sulking for 8 months

Turns out I was watering it like a pothos instead of a jungle plant. Switched to soaking the pot once a week instead of light misting and got three new leaves in 4 weeks. Anyone else have a plant that bounced back after you changed one simple thing?

I mean, three new leaves in a month isn't exactly a comeback story, that's like normal plant growth for a monstera. You were lightly misting it for 8 months? That's barely surface wetness, no wonder it didn't do anything. It's not like you fixed a broken watering system, you just started actually giving it water.
