Watched a binder at the Providence flea market fix a sagging spine with just wheat paste and a brick
I was at the flea market on Atwells Ave last month and this older guy named Marco was rebinding a water damaged paperback right there at his table. He mixed wheat paste in a deli cup, brushed the spine, pressed it flat and set a brick on top of it for 20 minutes. I have been overthinking my presses and boards for months and this guy did better work with stuff from his kitchen. Has anyone else tried the brick method or does it warp the boards over time?
