My sewing frame wobble fix after that Boston workshop
Went to a bindery demo in Boston last month and the instructor showed me how a tiny strip of cork under the press board stops the whole frame from shaking, so now I can punch holes without re-aligning my signatures every 3 pages, has anyone else tried cork pads instead of felt?

Honestly, that cork trick sounds way better than the felt I’ve been using, nothing against felt but it gets squishy after a week. Tbh, my whole setup is on a wobbly old drafting table, so I just started clamping the frame to the edge and using my knee as a shock absorber. It works okay, but now I’m wondering if I can find cork sheets at the hardware store without looking like a weirdo.
