Counted 43 finished books on my shelf and that number kind of blew my mind
I got bored last Sunday and finally counted everything I've bound since I started this hobby about two years ago, and the total came to 43. Before that I honestly would have guessed maybe 15 or 20. Most of them are little quarter-bound notebooks and a few case bindings, nothing fancy, but seeing them all stacked on the shelf made the time feel real. The funny part is I still think of myself as a beginner, like I just started, even though I've gone through about six spools of linen thread and wore out a bone folder in that stretch. The first ten or so are pretty rough, the spines are uneven and one has a text block that sits crooked, but I keep them because I can see my corners getting sharper every few books. I don't think the number itself matters much, it just shows how much reps add up without you noticing. Anybody else keep a rough count of their finished work, or do you just let the shelf fill up and not think about it?
