Our library book club picked a 700 page novel and only 3 people finished it
Last month at the Round Rock public library, our club voted on a big historical novel that ran 700 pages, and when we met on Tuesday only 3 of the 11 of us had actually finished it. The other 8 just nodded along while the three of us talked, and one lady finally said "can we please pick something under 300 pages next time." So now we pass out page counts on a sticky note with every suggestion before we vote. How does your club handle it when the pick is too long and half the group taps out?
