Hot take: our club spent 90 minutes arguing about a book none of us actually finished
Last Tuesday at the library on Elm Street we had our monthly meetup and got into it over whether the main character was a liar, and then someone admitted she stopped at page 60. Turns out 4 of the 7 of us never got past the halfway point of that 400 page book. We still had a great debate, maybe the best one this year, and it hit me that finishing the book was never the point of this club. Anybody else had a meetup where the unread members carried the whole discussion?
