Dropped $45 on a speed reading course for book club and it ruined my favorite part of the meeting
Three months ago I paid $45 for one of those online speed reading programs so I could actually finish the pick before our Thursday meetups. Now I read everything so fast that I skip the slow, pretty parts, and last time I couldn't even join the talk about the opening chapter because I had zipped right past it and forgot the details. Did anyone else try to get faster at reading and end up feeling like they lost the whole point of it?
