Rant: A 30 year guy on my crew said my torch tip was running too hot and it stuck with me
I was cutting 3/8 plate on a Tuesday job in Dayton and the slag was piling up worse than usual, so I figured the plate was just dirty. Dale, who has been doing this 30 years, watched me for a minute and said I was pushing way too much oxygen and cooking the edge instead of cutting it, then showed me his flame setting on the same tip. Been messing with my pressures all week now, so what settings do you all run on 3/8 and up?
