Weighing career growth against my board game habit. Need some perspective.

So I was up for a shift lead position at work, but it would mean working evenings when my game group meets. Part of me thinks I should take it for the resume boost, but I love our weekly sessions. Some say to chase the money, others say happiness matters more. What's your take on balancing work and games?

Take it from @ivanm68, burnout isn't worth the extra cash.

Used to say yes to every promotion, learned the hard way. Missed my friends, got burnt out, and the extra cash didn't fix that. Don't give up your weekly recharge if you can avoid it.
