Logged my 500th play on BGG and realized half my shelf is still unplayed
I finally hit 500 logged plays on BoardGameGeek this past weekend, and I figured I'd feel proud, but it just made me stare at my shelf. I counted 61 games I own, and 27 of them have never hit the table even once. Most of those are kickstarter boxes that showed up in 2019 and 2020, still in shrink, taking up space. Meanwhile my copy of Splendor has like 70 plays because it's the one game my group always grabs. The 500 number felt like a big deal until I realized it's like 8 games doing all the work. Anyone else got a pile of shame that grows faster than their play count?
