Why does nobody bring a dedicated extension cord box?

At our block party in June, someone's crockpot kept shutting off because the closest outlet was 40 feet away and we were daisy-chaining three flimsy cords. After the second tripped breaker, I went home and grabbed my labeled box with four 25-foot heavy duty cords and a power strip. We ran the whole food table off it without a single issue. Now I always bring that box to every party, and I'm surprised more people don't do the same. Anyone else have a go-to setup for outdoor power that actually holds up?
