That $85 bounce house was the best and worst money I ever put into our July block party
Two summers back in Fort Worth I dropped $85 on a bounce house rental for our block party and half the parents loved it while the other half wanted it gone by hour two. The kids would not leave it, which meant nobody touched the water balloons or the relay race I planned, and one dad said it turned the whole party into a babysitter. Last year we skipped it and put that same $85 into a snow cone truck instead, and people are still arguing about which one was the right call. So which side are you on, do you rent the big draw and let the other stuff die, or skip it and keep folks moving around?
