Rant: my neighbor Gene signed off on the barricade plan and forgot the fire lane on Maple Ct
Last June we got our street closure approved for the 4th and Gene told the city the barricades would go curb to curb, which sealed off the only way a fire truck could reach 12 houses. A captain from Station 3 drove by during setup and made us pull two barricades back 10 feet before he would sign off. Check your permit map for the emergency access lane before you zip tie anything, it is usually drawn in red. Anyone got a setup that keeps cars out but still leaves room for a ladder truck?
