Just found out 1 in 5 people bring a friend to watch their blind date from another table
I read a survey from a dating app last week that said about 20 percent of people have had a friend secretly sit nearby on a first date. That is 1 out of every 5 people, which feels way too high to me. It made me think back to my date at a diner in Phoenix 2 years ago, when this guy kept looking past me at a booth near the door. Turns out his roommate was there the entire time and even waved when they left together. Did anyone else deal with a secret spotter, and did you find out during the date or after?
