TIL my landlord painted over a crack in my wall and now I can't decide if I should cover it or show it
I was hanging curtains in my apartment in Portland 3 weeks ago and found a 2 foot crack behind where the old rod used to be. My landlord had just painted over it with cheap white paint so it looked flat until the light hit it. Now I'm stuck: do I hang a big canvas print to hide it, or lean into it and put a thin shelf right above so it looks intentional? I keep going back and forth. What would you do with a wall that has a secret like this?
