PSA: don't listen to that guy at the paint store about peel and stick wallpaper

Dude at Sherwin-Williams told me peel and stick would hold up fine in my bathroom. Said he'd done it before. 2 weeks later the corners were peeling up from the humidity and the whole thing looked like garbage. I had to tear it all down and spend $60 on primer plus another $80 on actual wallpaper paste to fix it. Has anyone else gotten bad advice from a store employee that cost them time and money?

Yeah that's just how it goes with store employees, they guess more than they know.
