Just realized the framed map trick from a guy at a Portland estate sale solved my awkward narrow wall
Last month I was poking around an estate sale on Alberta Street in Portland and got to talking with the homeowner's son, who was selling off his dad's stuff. He pointed at a skinny 14 inch strip of wall between two doors and told me his dad hung three cheap framed road maps there stacked vertically, and that the narrow size made the space feel on purpose instead of leftover. Now I'm wondering if that vertical stacking trick works better with maps or with small photos, so what would you hang in a spot that narrow?
