Tried a 4 episode test watch with my book club, lost 2 members
Last Tuesday I pitched a show to my book club as a 'visual novel' swap. Two members bailed before the first episode because they hate subtitles. The other three of us pushed through all 4 episodes in one sitting. One friend fell asleep at episode 3 and woke up to a major twist, so we had to rewatch that part. I'm curious if anyone else has tried mixing non-readers into a show discussion group and how you handled the spoiler problem in week two.

Four episodes in one sitting is real dedication. We did a similar thing with an anime club back in college and lost two people before episode two. Honestly, the sleep-through-twist thing is a classic, we had to pause and re-explain like three times that night.
