My DVR wiped 30 episodes of a show right before the finale week
Last Tuesday I went to queue up the season finale of that detective drama I've been watching for 2 months and the whole library was gone. The hard drive just died overnight, no warning, no backup. I had like 30 episodes saved up from three different series and poof. My first move was calling my brother to see if he had a streaming login for one of them, but that was a dead end for two of the shows. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should just start over or wait a few months and binge fresh on a different service. Has anyone else lost a whole saved queue to a hardware fail like this and found a way to get over the sting?
Dude that is brutal, especially with the finale right there. Last year my DVR did the same thing right before I could watch the last two episodes of that space show, just gone, no warning at all. I was so mad I just sat there staring at the empty list for like ten minutes. I ended up waiting a few months and then found the whole season on a free streaming trial, and honestly the break made it feel kinda fresh again.
