Just realized I've been watching The Bear all wrong

Last week I started season 2 of The Bear and it finally clicked for me. I had been watching it like a regular drama but my coworker said it's actually a dark comedy with all these subtle jokes I missed. So I went back and rewatched season 1 last weekend paying attention to the humor. The whole Richie cousin dynamic is actually hilarious when you look at it that way. Has anyone else had a show totally change for you after someone pointed out how to watch it?

Oh wow, I actually had the same thing happen! I watched the first few episodes and thought it was just a stressful drama about a restaurant. But then my brother explained the dark comedy thing and yeah, Richie is hilarious when you catch those jokes. Completely changed how I see the show.
