Hot take: I tried to watch 'The Bear' in one sitting and it was a huge mistake
I started it last Sunday afternoon thinking I'd just watch a couple episodes, but the stress of that kitchen was so real I couldn't stop. I finished the whole first season in about 7 hours and felt completely wired, like I'd just worked a double shift myself. My heart was pounding during the 'Review' episode. Has anyone else had a show get under their skin like that, where you need a real break between episodes?

A food writer I follow said the show's sound design is built to raise your stress levels on purpose, with all the overlapping yelling and kitchen noise. It tricks your brain into a fight or flight response even when you're just on your couch. That's probably why binging it feels so intense compared to watching weekly.

Seriously? It's just a TV show... you can always hit pause and walk away. That wired feeling is probably from sitting still for seven hours straight, not the plot. Maybe try watching one episode at a time like a normal person.
