PSA: I finally admit the Green Street lane is worse than riding in traffic
I spent 40 minutes last Thursday trying to figure out why my commute felt so sketchy, and it turned out the Green Street bike lane forces you into the door zone near the 7-Eleven on 4th. I used to think any painted lane beat mixing with cars, but after getting doored by a parked Civic there I switched to taking the full lane on Oak Avenue instead. It only took 2 weeks of near misses to change my mind. Anyone else bail on a lane because the door zone was too tight?
