Dropped $115 on a wireless meat probe at the Kansas City Royal, and it died right as my brisket hit the stall
I grabbed a two pack of wireless probes at the KC Royal last fall for $115 because I was tired of running cables through the lid of my offset. First cook went great, but on my next packer the signal started cutting out around hour six, right when the brisket stalled at 165 and I needed it most. I ended up babysitting it with my old $20 instant read every 30 minutes until midnight, half asleep and smelling like hickory. Has anyone else had wireless probes choke on them mid cook, or did I just get a bad unit?
