Wait, he did that without any gadgets at all? Tbh, I can't even manage my grill without a digital thermometer and a timer. The idea of just watching coals for hours, no probes, no fans, nothing, blows my mind. That's like some old-school magic right there. Feel the same way as @logan_mitchell86, my brain is just wired for the gadgets now. It's like we've lost the basic feel for things by always using tech as a crutch. Honestly, I'm right there with you on burning everything without a timer.
