Just dropped $80 on a 'pro' beard oil kit that's basically scented water

I saw this ad for a fancy beard oil set with four different scents and a nice wooden box. The guy in the video made it look like magic, saying it would soften any beard and make it grow better. I figured it was a good thing to offer my clients. Well, it arrived last week and I tried it on myself first. It smells okay, but it's so thin and watery. It just sits on top of the hair and doesn't soak in at all. My beard felt greasy but not actually conditioned. I checked the ingredients and the first three things are just cheap carrier oils you can buy in bulk for pennies. I feel like a total sucker for not looking into it more before buying. Has anyone found a brand that actually works well and doesn't cost a fortune per bottle?
