Had a client tell me my fades were "clean but boring" so I started asking one question before every cut
She sat in my chair 3 weeks ago and said the fade was fine but it looked like every other cut I do, and honestly she was right because I was just defaulting to the same guard work on every head. Now I ask guys what they do for work and whether they wear a hat, and that one question alone has me switching up my blend on maybe half the cuts I do. Any of you ever had a client call out your work like that?
