Bought a $200 'pro' trimmer from a trade show that broke in a month

I was at the Midwest Barber Expo last fall and got talked into buying this fancy cordless trimmer from a booth. The guy swore it was the best thing ever, but the motor gave out after maybe 30 clients. I'm out the cash and had to scramble to get my old reliable one fixed. Anyone know a good brand for cordless trimmers that actually last?

What did the sales guy say when you tried to get a refund? Those trade show deals are the worst, they vanish after the weekend. I've had good luck with the basic Wahl cordless model for a few years now. It's not fancy but it just works. I'd skip the gimmicks and stick with a brand you see in real shops.

Honestly those trade show guys are just hustling for a quick sale. I mean, maybe check if the brand has any actual customer service contact online, like a real website. Sometimes those companies exist but they just sell junk. It's a gamble because you can't test it properly on the floor with all that noise and hype.
