Am I the only one who thinks clipper guards get blamed for bad blends?
Honestly, I see newer guys at my shop in Columbus fight with a 1.5 guard when the real problem is they never set their baseline. I stopped blaming my tools after counting my strokes on a fade and finding I was doing 3 passes on one side and 5 on the other, which threw everything off. Now I check the guard against a mirror line before I ever touch the head, and my blends got way cleaner in about 2 weeks. Has anyone else noticed their uneven fades came down to stroke count instead of the guard?
