Just realized the old guy at the plant shop on Clement St was right about watering
I was at Sloat Garden Center on Clement last weekend and overheard an employee telling a customer that most balcony plants die from too much love, not neglect. He said to stick a finger two inches into the soil and only water when it comes out dry, even in summer. I stopped watering my rosemary on a schedule and just check it now, and it's finally stopped dropping needles after about 3 weeks. Anyone else ditch the watering can routine for the finger test, or do you go by pot weight instead?
