Saw a bakery on 9th St selling day old cupcakes as fresh, please check dates
I stopped by that new cupcake place on 9th St near the hardware store on Tuesday around 3pm and watched the guy pull a tray from the back, peel off a sticker, and put a new one on. I bake at home a lot and those cupcakes had that dry, cracked top you get after 2 days in the fridge. I get it, margins are tight, but if you're paying $4.50 for a cupcake you should know what you're getting. Has anyone else seen this at small bakeries in their town, or did I just catch a bad day?
