My starter was fine for 2 weeks in the fridge and I think the 12 hour feeding rule is mostly a myth
I left Mildred (that's the jar) in the back of the fridge for 14 days over the holidays and she came back to life after one feeding, no drama at all. Everyone online acts like you have to feed every 12 hours or it's dead, but I've been baking at home in Boise for 6 years and mine only gets fed once a week when life gets busy. The bread still rises the same. Am I missing something, or are we all just babying our starters for no reason?
