Hot take: my Sawyer Mini filter totally clogged on day 3 of the John Muir Trail and I had to boil everything for 48 hours.
Has anyone else had a filter fail that fast in the Sierra, and what do you use instead?

What, you didn't enjoy your two-day backcountry cooking show? My Squeeze gave up on me once in similar silt, felt like a real dummy carrying it.

Honestly "felt like a real dummy" is the whole vibe. Tbh it's just a water filter, not a life choice. If it quits in the backcountry you just boil water, it's not that deep. Ngl people get way too serious about gear fails.
