The pitot static tester I borrowed from Lufthansa's hangar

Back in 2018 I used a brand new DPS500 on a CRJ that was reading 8 knots off on the airspeed indicator. Last month I got my hands on the same model after the shop bought one, and the numbers came up clean on the same bird types. Difference was the old unit probably had a clogged line I never caught, plus the new one has that digital leak check that takes 10 minutes less. Anyone else notice how much quicker preflight checks go when you swap out aging test gear for something with an auto-bleed function?

Man, that auto-bleed feature is a lifesaver. We've got an older tester that takes forever to equalize, and I always end up double checking the numbers by hand. The leak check alone used to eat up half my morning, so I get why your preflight feels way quicker now.
