That valve adjustment clinic in Tulsa changed how I do shims
Went to a weekend class at a community college shop last month, mostly to watch someone else wiggle a feeler gauge for once. The instructor had this trick of using a tiny dab of grease to hold the shim in place while you rotate the cam. Took me maybe 10 minutes per cylinder on my Accord after that, versus fighting with tweezers for an hour. Has anyone else picked up a weird little shortcut from a class that stuck with you longer than any YouTube video? Curious if it's worth doing more of these local clinics or if I just got lucky with a good teacher.
