Drove 40 miles to pull a junkyard alternator instead of buying new, got 18 months out of it
For my 2004 Civic the local shop quoted $210 for a new alternator but the pick and pull in Riverside had one for $28 with a 30 day warranty, and when it died last month I just went back and grabbed another for $30 instead of paying full price again, so I'm wondering how many of you run junkyard charging parts versus biting the bullet on new ones?
